(1) ON-SITE ACCESS

EBSCO is accessible on site through logging into to any of the computer terminals.

• Log-on (password, etc.) which takes you to the general computer screen desktop area
• Start > Network Programs > Netscape 4.51 > [automatically goes to Brunel Web site] >
• Current students > Services > Library > Electronic Resources > Access to Electronic Resources
• Alphabetical order > Continue > EBSCO Click Here > Continue > Enter EBSCO > Search EBSCO

Which takes you to the final EBSCO search page where you set

• Search for (theme), search in (journals), so as to then > Search

(2) OFF-SITE ACCESS

You can go directly to 'www.ebsco.com'. With an ATHENS password (obtainable from the Library) you can then enter your search, etc.

(3) WHAT DO F YOU E FINALLY WANT TO DO ?

Your above search steps will produce varied materials, for you to choose what to then do with. Currently there are not save/download facilities on EBSCO articles (unlike JSTOR, a pity). Thus, you with EBSCO material you can either:

• View: Read article on screen page by page for first impressions
• Print it: EBSCO Print facility is fiddly-bitty-limited. Better to leisurely view it, make notes...
